💃 How to Join the Challenge
1. Learn The Dance
1. Watch the Doin What I Want - Dance Challenge Instructions Video
2. Learn the dance
3. Record your video to the song
Tip: The CapCut template text overlay covers the top of the screen - film the dance from a slight distance with the dancer framed at the bottom of the screen)
2. Open the CapCut Template
1. Tap this link on your phone or computer:👉 Use the Official CapCut Template
2. When it opens in your browser or app, tap Use Template in CapCut.
3. The CapCut app will automatically launch and load the project timeline.
3. Add the Official Audio
Because this template doesn’t include the song, you’ll need to manually add it:
1. Download the audio file “Doing What I Want.mp3”
2. In CapCut, tap Audio → From device → Files (on mobile) or Import → Audio (on desktop).
3. Select the downloaded Song file.
4. Drag or place it on your timeline starting at 0:00 (the beginning).
5. Make sure the music is aligned with the dance cue — the beat should drop right as the first move starts.
💡 Pro Tip: If the timing feels off, pinch and drag the audio slightly left or right until your movements match the rhythm.
4. Add Your Dance Clip
1. Tap or click on the placeholder video layer in the template.
2. Choose Replace clip → Select your own video.
3. Import your dance footage and make sure it fits the beat of the audio.
4. Use the preview button to confirm the timing looks smooth.
5. Adding Your Style
Perform the official dance or remix it with your own twist.
Keep the edits energetic and fun — this challenge is all about confidence and movement.
Make sure your final cut stays under 30 seconds for best reach.
6. Export & Post
· Tap Export in CapCut when you’re done.
· Choose 1080×1920 vertical format.
· Post on TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts.
